Healthy Eating School
We are a 'Healthy Eating' School.
Children are encouraged to eat ONLY healthy foods at break time.
This may include:
- Fruit and Vegetables
- Cheese
- Yogurt
- Sandwiches
- Breadsticks
We encourage our children to avoid foods with high sugar and fat content or processed foods.
Children are encouraged to drink either water or milk.
Water in School
Children are encouraged to bring a bottle of water to school. We ask that this bottle has a sports lid to prevent spillages over the children’s work. Research has shown that water stimulates concentration levels and aids learning.
Pupils are encouraged to have water bottles in class to keep themselves fully hydrated.
Snack Time
Primary 1/2 children receive a snack each morning. Snack money is paid termly to Mrs Copeland.
Children are encouraged to help prepare their food under the guidance and assistance of the adult in charge.
