World War 2 Trip
15th Jan 2019
The pupils explored 'Life during the War' on our visit to the Palace Stables. They took part in interactive activities on the Blitz, Evacuees, Rationing and met an American G.I. The Palace Demesne were the headquarters for the American G.I.s in County Armagh during WW2. All of the students experienced life as a child during the war and had the opportunity to create their own identity card, evacuation label and be escorted to an underground evacuation shelter by the Evacuation Officer.
