Over the past 2 weeks P7, P6 and some of the P5 children took it in turns, to take part in a Gaelic Football Blitz. The second event was St Ronan’s College Primary Schools Tournament.
After playing St Brendan’s, Tannaghmore, St Teresa’s and St Peter’s Collegeland our St Mary’s Team had enough points to push us into the Semi Finals for the Danske Bank Cup.
We beat St Anthony’s in the Semi Final and played St Francis in the final.
We had a strong team today and it was a tough match with our side excelling in the second half. We missed out on the cup by 1 point as the score in the final were 10 – 9 to St Francis.
A huge well done to all those children that were involved today, it was nice for everyone to have time on the pitch over the last couple of weeks.
