Pupils from Primary 5, 6 and 7 participated in the Academy's Gaelic Blitz on Tuesday 31st May. A mixed team of both girls and boys from the three year groups played magnificently. The pupils played a total of 4 games, facing Collegelands, St. Mary’s Dunamore, St. Brigid’s Brockagh and St. John’s Kingsland. Winning a total of 2 matches and playing some amazing tactical football, the pupils were unlucky not to have reached the final. Our game against St. Brigid’s was outstanding. It was a fast paced and high scoring match, which we were unfortunate not to win after St. Brigid’s scored a goal in the final seconds. All pupils returned home with their heads held high and very pleased with their overall performance.
