How do boats float?
Today in class, Primary 6 and 7 completed a fun density science experiment. They explored and investigated why boats float. They looked at how density can affect the ability of an object to float in water. By reshaping their pieces of clay into less dense boat shaped objects, they were able to make their clay boats float. We had a few Titanic incidents but by the end of the afternoon everyone had a clear understanding of how a boat can float.
