Today the After-Schools Eco Club had the pleasure of a visit from Mark, daddy of Leah, and Thomas, daddy of Molly and Bella, Whiteisland Nursery & Landscaping, who gave the children some advice on outdoor planting during the summer. The children were given a wide variety of plants to choose from such as geraniums and fuchsias, and lots more, they produced lovely flower pots. The children also learnt the importance of plants getting fertilised and that water granules are used to help plants grow.
The children had a fantastic time and there will be some wonderful gardeners in Maghery in years to come. There will be lots of plant boxes on display tonight. Thank you guys!
