Our Fruit and Veg!!
The children have been attending very attentively to the watering of the Sweet corn and Tomatoes every day. we unfortunately will not be in school to appreciate the final process of their growth. Over the summer we will be adding to the watering system to ensure that they are feed daily. The strawberry plants were a great success and at least 2-3 times a week the children got to enjoy the fruit. Sadly they have produced their fruit for the year. We definitely will be looking to planting more next year.
Thank you to all the children from P7 to the smallest in P1 for helping out with the Eco Committee throughout the year. The recycled food waste has been an essential means of food for our wormery. The children have all played their part in maintaining the poly tunnel and have thoroughly enjoyed planting their own fruit and veg and watching the plants grow.
