Maths Day 2019 - Primary 1 and 2
We began maths themed day when the children arrived into school wearing odd socks. We had a look at everyone's socks and compared the differences.
We then made some pizzas for our snack. The children discussed the ingredients required and how much we needed to add. We then timed the pizzas in the oven until they were cooked.
After break we designed recipes for making our pizzas. We worked on the sequence we had to follow to make our pizzas. The primary 2 children also added written instructions.
We then made some shape pizzas, we used circles, squares, triangles and rectangles. The children counted how much of each shapes they used and recorded this on this pizza.
Finally we finished off the day with some maths games on the iPad.
