As part of their work on the Egyptians, Primary 4&5 took part in a Science experiment on mummification. After crafting a "mummy" from an apple, they used a combination of salt and bicarbonate of soda to begin the experiment. This mixture will dehydrate the apple, re-enacting a process that the Egyptians used over 4,000 years ago. We will observe what happens over the next few weeks.
