GREAT AFTERNOON FOR AFTERSCHOOL ECO CHILDREN - THANK YOU ST FRANCIS SCHOOL
The children from the afterschool Eco Club had a wonderful afternoon on Tuesday 2/4/19 when they visited St Francis PS, Lurgan, outdoor leaning facilities. We were amazed at the wonderful woodland area that the children from St Francis had, they proudly showed us their new Red Squirrel enclosure, which they are working closely with Belfast Zoo to help increase population of these beautiful little animals. We also were lucky enough to see all the wildlife inhabitants who lived in their secure man made pond. We also got to see the bird hut, so children can few, and calculate the bird species in their woodland area.
We would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to Mr Coleman and the children from St Francis & Bunscoil Naomh proinsias, we really learnt a lot and hopefully can implement some of your ideas into our own outdoor learning facilities. Hopefully some day we can return the favour.
