Children's Mental Health Week in Primary 1 and 2
This week, our Primary 1 and 2 classes enthusiastically engaged in Children's Mental Health Week 2025, embracing the theme "Know Yourself, Grow Yourself." The children kicked off the week with a calming mindfulness yoga session that helped them centre their thoughts and connect with their bodies. They then ventured outdoors for a mindful scavenger hunt, where they discovered the beauty of nature while learning to appreciate the world around them. Through captivating stories, they explored the theme further, discussing their feelings and understanding how to nurture their minds.
As a delightful hands-on activity, each child planted a seed, a powerful symbol of personal growth and development, reminding them that just like their seeds, they too can flourish with care and attention. To add a touch of creativity, everyone brought in their favourite teddy bears and used the Chatterpix App to breathe life into them. It was heartwarming to hear the teddies share compliments, fostering a sense of positivity and self-worth among our little ones. Overall, the week was a fantastic blend of fun and learning, reinforcing the importance of mental health and self-awareness in our young learners.
